Discipleship

At Pleasant Grove, discipleship means maturing people through Biblical teaching and Christian fellowship.

Biblical Teaching

At 11 am on Sunday mornings we meet for corporate worship to read and learn from the gospel, worship together, and pray together. When we do this, God inhabits the praises of His people and He changes lives.

Bible study is also a vital part of our ministry at Pleasant Grove.  We have classes serving every age group beginning at 10 am on Sunday Mornings.

Children

The children's ministry at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church exists to see families and children transformed by the gospel through worship, discipleship, and missions for God's glory. We accomplish this by teaching children how to pray and worship, immersing them in scripture, and providing families with opportunities to serve together.

We offer Sunday School classes at 10am, with Extended Time during the service, for children ages 3-5. We have the nursery open and staffed for ages birth through 2. Our volunteers love working with children of all ages and teaching them more about God's love.

Wednesday evenings we have PGKidz, beginning with a meal at 6:30pm and classes at 7pm-8pm. We do run the van for this ministry for children age 6 and older. Contact the church office at 423-727-6805 for more information or to add your child to the pick up list.

We take the safety of all children very seriously. All staff and volunteers working within our children's program have undergone background checks and will continue to do so on a routine basis.

Youth

Our mission is to win teens to Christ, build them up in the faith, and send them out as Christians committed to reaching their world for Christ. Our goal as a ministry is taken from Luke 2:52 - "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men."

Our youth meet Sunday morning at 10am for Sunday School, as well as, Wednesday evening beginning at 6:30pm in the Family Life Center for a meal. They then attend class at 7pm.

We do run the van for this ministry. Contact the church office at 423-727-6805 for more information or to have your child added to the route.

We take the safety of our children and youth very seriously. All those working within the youth program have undergone background checks and will continue to do so on a routine basis.
